The BMX arena consists of straights, corners and multiple obstacles. Measured along the centerline of the track, the length of the track shall not be less than 300 meters and shall not exceed 400 meters. The width of the starting section of the track is not less than 10 meters, and the width of any section of the entire track is not less than 5 meters.

The starting platform should be at least 1.5 meters above the level of the runway in the first straight section. The length of the departure slope is not less than 12 meters. The departure gate is 8 meters wide and 50 centimeters high, and the angle between the departure slope and it should be 90 degrees. Eight runways are to be marked 10 meters ahead of the starting line. The slope of the corner is designed to ensure that the athlete can enter and exit safely at high speeds.

The finish line is located at the finish line of the track and consists of a 4 cm wide black straight line and 10 cm wide white strip marks on each side, a total of 24 cm wide strips. Set up finishing video equipment to assist the referee in determining the finishing position.

BMX racing wheels should be 20 inches and 24 inches in diameter, 20 inches for the Olympics. Entry vehicles must use valid rear brakes. Competition equipment

During competition, athletes wear sleeved jerseys and shorts, which can be one-pieces. The hem of the shorts should be 10 cm above the knee. In road competitions, the raincoats worn by athletes must be transparent or suitable for the competition of the event. Athletes must wear safety helmets. When riding on the track, BMX athletes must use a full face helmet, a long shirt with sleeves to the wrist, trousers with cuffs at the ankle, full-coverage gloves and the necessary armor.
